There IS something to that weekend/batch update process, methinks? Late last night (Saturday) the status was still waiting on fingerprints and background check - this morning (Sunday) both of those are now complete, and the status has updated to Manutfacturing Pending!

47 days out from mailing, and the status has finally moved to Manufacturing Pending!!!

I understand your frustration, but once you get your CHL, it will all be forgotten and you will be legal to carry and defend yourself.

At least you have found this forum and during this time of patience, you can read and learn a lot about what to do, not to do, and how to do things, so when you get your CHL you can be very prepared.
Heres to hoping the background check finishes quickly!

I am feeling the pain of waiting too. I dont understand how it can take them so long on a backgroung check for someone who has absolutely no record of any kind.

Everything else is done and good, just the background check is still pending. Im in the same situation as others where friends are getting plastic already and I am still waiting on a background check. It gets a little depressing and aggravating waitingnover a background check.

Five weeks in background so I decided to call their number instead of looking online this time....total waste of time. Very nice lady told me they had received my info and was under background check. I told her, Yea I know...I saw that online...she said well you should hear something within the next couple of weeks....shezzzz....if it takes another two weeks that will be almost 2 months in background check. Glad I'm a patient man.

It has been a while since it was this bad.

Calling your state representative or senator can break the logjam—or maybe not.

The FBI has to perform part of the background check. They have their ups and downs. With the so-called sequester, every federal agency is going to have an excuse for delays. A state rep can't do anything about that.
