3-4 minutes??? Maybe less...With sufficient blood loss (2-3 minutes), brain damage is probable...

At least thats what I've heard...I may be wrong...

As far as I know, he had been convicted of a felony assault and a battery charge. I don't know much about him [or much about football at all].. but am I the only one that is having a hard time believing that this man was shot randomly in his home by a random intruder?

Yeah, he was young and it's sad, but I think the investigation will turn up some very interesting information, whether or not a suspect is apprehended.

Two breakins in a short period of time, something smells rotten,I believe he was convicted of brandishing a firearm and some other offenses that kept him from lawfully owning a firearm,i believe this actually proves that a burglar intent on doing a job is not deterred from the residence being occupied, that's why i sleep with a firearm and my bedroom door is open i can see somebody coming down my hallway before he can see in my room,I use to have a dog that barked at the slightest noise but at 11 years of age i think she got selective hearing i can yeall from the kitchen she don't hear me but if i drop a slice of bacon she's got it before the second bounce

Hmmmm. Never bring a knife to a gunfight comes to mind, but I'm glad he survived.
Sadly, he didn't.
RIP

I was reading Peter King's Monday Morning Quarterback column this morning, and he posted something that really got under my skin.
A sad part of the story, of course, is a child growing up fatherless, for no good reason. But another sad part, and one that will make good people across the NFL cringe, is that (Taylor teammate Chris) Samuels, a gentlemen among gentleman, will be applying for a permit to own a gun this week.

"I was always scared of guns growing up,'' Samuels said. "But this situation has told me I need one. I'd rather be prepared than to be like Sean was, and not have a gun in his house when he really needed it. I'm going to go through all the proper procedures, get a license, get training for it, and have it in my house, where I lay my head at night.

"I wish a lot of people thought like I did, that violence is bad. But unfortunately that's not the way the world is. Sometimes the world is not a nice place. It's sad I have to get a gun.''

And that's yet another tragedy of Sean Taylor's death.
It would be nice if we lived in a fairy land where nobody ever wanted to take away things that other have worked long, hard hours to earn, but that just isn't the case. Why should it be a sad thing that someone has decided to take personal responsibility for their own protection?
