Hey Mac,
Sorry I haven't been able to get up to the shop since opening day. My new job has eaten most of my available trigger time and my time on this forum. I also haven't had time to come in with Gregg's Wednesday group yet.
While I understand a lot of your customers have issues with the fact Glock's have no manual safety, you may want to look at how you pitch the passive safety system. It's also worth pointing out the fact that law enforcement experiences fewer ND's with "self-decocking" pistols like the Glock than they do with manual-safety equipped pistols. Safety issues with the Glock are a training/process problem.
As you know, if the idiot pressing the bang switch has never learned to keep his booger hook off said bang switch, the gun will work as designed every time. Even with a manual-safety, eventually the idiot will forget to turn the gun "off" before smacking the bang switch. We've heard it before but it's worth repeating, "Anyone who thinks they can make something idiot proof is underestimating the resourcefulness of an idiot!"
Other than that, tell your family I said hello. I'm off to DPS tonight for the CHL instructor renewal class being held tomorrow. I will try my very best to get by your shop this weekend.
Later,
Gary
