I found an article by Walt Rauch that covers an IDPA club that held a classifier for some wheelchair-enabled shooters. It was a short one published in Handguns Magazine and was evidently set up by Frank James who wrote Effective Handgun Defense.

Been lurking here for a year or two.

Count me in, too. I'm in the Houston/Spring area.

I am classified as a "disabled" shooter :banghead: Heck, I was never "enabled" either!

Birth defects of both hands, wrists & forearms. No thumbs. Use both hands to shoot but I am an "obviously" right-handed for practical purposes.

Funny story:
Years ago I shot with an IDPA group. When I had to leave the group after a couple of years, one of the guys told me of their impressions of my very first night of shooting with them. He said the gang (A truly grand group of IOFs and rascals! They taught me most of what I now know to be useful.) couldn't decide to stay around and see what happened, or run for cover! NOBODY wanted to stand around and watch, but they didn't want to miss the "show." :evil2:

Back to the thread: I'd like to try to transfer some of my personal experience to someone else who may profit.

God bless ya'll!
