I have emailed them three times now asking for a pin, just like their web sight told me to do. The last exchange of emails gave me the impression that good ole Simone was getting irritated at me for requesting a PIN. I don't know what to do now other than wait. I worry that she is power tripping down there and will intentionally scuttle apps. If something doesn't show up in the mail by the end of the week, I am calling them.
When did you send in your packet? It normally takes at least a month before they issue a PIN. Lately, longer.

The check cleared my bank on March 20th. I mailed it in a week or so before that. The part about it taking a month to get a pin just soaked in

. Maybe I'll hold off another week or so. I had made the mistake of thinking they where going in some kind of first come first serve order. When I saw a few folks who had submitted after me say they had a PIN, I got my hopes up. No worry...Simone slapped them back down again.

Rule #1, Don't upset Simone!! I get one email because I'm to stupid to know any better. After that maybe I get a reputation!!
I'm standing fast from now on. It'll get here...I guess.

Yeah...now I know. I feel like they should have covered the "simone" rules in the class.

I guess they sort of covered the "Simone" rule with us. We got the speach about not calling DPS because apparently the unit that processes the CHL's is rather small. Every time someone calls it takes them away from processing applications. At least that's what they claim...
I do think registering on-line and paying beforehand might speed up the process. I got my PIN from Simone in about 3 - 4 days after requesting it via e-mail. I sent my packet on 04/08/2008. It was received on 04/09. Today, 04/24, I moved to "Processing Application". Now the real wait begins.

They do this kind of garbage...and then wonder why folks get impatient. You send in your packet 2 weeks after me, and then I see that your at "processing application" with a pin in hand. I can't even get a pin out of them so it is natural for me to be concerned there is a problem. They may or may not be working on mine, but when they set it up to look like I am not getting serviced, they should understand why I get worried and bother them.
