I would have to agree that if you're somewhere where you shouldn't be with a gun and are forced to use it, to leave.
BUT, I would first say, stay away from those areas at all costs.
NOT ALL POLICE ARE LIKE THIS!!! I know this, but some are and we need to stay away from these places.
Just do a Google search for "Chicago police lawsuit" and you will be bombarded with article after article of lawsuits they have lost.
I am sure that in all areas where the 2nd amendment is violated so harshly, you'll also find the police are corrupt.

Really, I wasn't aware of that fact. Could you be more specific as to where this is taking place and provide some documentation as to exactly what type of corruption that's occurring. Also, please define what you mean when you say, "the 2nd Amendment is violated so harshly." Where specifically are these areas and how is it being violated?
The police in the areas where guns are banned are more then willing to prosecute you.
The police don't prosecute anyone - Federal, State, District, County, or Municipal Attorney's Offices do the prosecuting. LEOs "arrest" according to laws that are written by legislators. If I don't like a particular law I need to voice my opinion (or vote) with my elected officials, or bring suit and try to get the courts to overturn it.

You cannot own a handgun in Chicago, if you move there, you cannot keep it at your house. If you have a long gun, you must keep it unloaded and locked up. You cannot possess a handgun in Washington D.C.'s city limits. If you have a long gun, it must be broke down in a non-functioning state and locked up.
All are violations of the 2nd amendment.
Once again, Google "Chicago Police Lawsuits" and you can see the many lawsuits that have been filed and won against the Chicago police.

True, but the police in Chicago are more then willing to falsify evidence and arrest you so you can be prosecuted then the Amarillo PD.
Our Sheriffs just take bribes from vendors.

If you are involved in a shooting there are basically two approaches you can take:
1- Say nothing without an attorney present
2- The suspect posed what I felt was a threat to my life or the life of third person. I acted in a manner to neutralize the threat.
If asked did you intend to kill the person, the response is "I intended to neutralize the threat to me or that of a third person"
These are the responses attorney's gave us to to give when I was a police officer.

So his death wasn't foremost in your mind?

I don't know anyone that really talks that way. My response would be something along the lines of, "Sir, I just wanted to stop him from trying to kill me".

Israel67, you have a vivid imagination! IMO you have been reading too many detective novels or watching too many movies or TV cop shows. Your lawyer would probably advise you not to testify so no DA would even have a chance to question you in court. If you were to testify he would object to any statements by the DA of that nature.
I realize that you want to instigate some kind of discussion or debate, but seriously, this is type of dialog is straight out of a Grade B Hollywood script.
Just as we Americans have the right the bear arms, we also have the right not to make statements that incriminate ourselves. We should equally exercise both of these rights.

Me too, but it's never too late!
How about a story about a Jewish Frenchman moving to Texas who gets a CHL? Think about the differences in lifestyles, culture, religion, history, geography and cuisine that you could exploit. Heck, you could do a whole chapter about barbeque and beer! There are a lot of possibilties!

That's what everyone keeps tellin' me. But well, you know, I'm 41, I'm a teacher who'd love to be a helicopter pilot. The only chick I ever asked to marry me, walked out three years ago.
The US for me represents a new start. No one except my two belovèd l'il nieces know me there. My younger niece and her husband live in an appartment maybe five times as big as what I have here, and they pay the same as I do (roughly six hundred bucks).
So I move there, get myself a little appartment, a Kimber, I work my job, pay my taxes, and that's it.
I gave up on dreams long ago.

Not quite true. For example, my dad was in the RAF during WWII. If I wanted to follow in his footsteps,
