My Chinese AK eats anything I put in it but I've seen big differences in accuracy though. This stuff was really accurate for what was cheap ammo when I bought it, if you can still get em, have not looked in a while.

I have since tried several types of steel and brass ammo. Not a problem with any type I have tried. Golden Tiger, Monarch, Privi, Wolf, and Wolf Military Classic. Its all cheap and all goes bang. I have since educated myself on the pros and cons of using steel cased ammo in an AR style rifle. Pro its a lot cheaper when it goes bang, con accuracy was not as good, its dirtier by far, and I have had a case or two or three get stuck and end a day of shooting with that particular rifle. But we just grabbed another and kept on going.

I will sayI have several in 7.62 and they like the Yugo surplus the best....it is corrosive though but it does shoot well and better accuracy out of my rifles. I shot some new Vmax and it did not do as well as the Yugo surplus.

corrosive ammo needs more cleaning = more work = I don't want it.
sellier & bellot ammo is more accurate.
soft point is great for hunting, but hollow points are baloney. HP 7.62x39 does not expand like normal HP ammo.
wolf and other steel cased ammo is cheap and works fine.

I only use surplus Yugo M67. I just clean with hot water mixed with Ballistol mixed 9 parts water to 1 part Ballistol. Make sure the water is gone and oil it up. Yugo is very accurate and at .20 a round cost is very low.

I use the Monarch from Academy in my Vector AK and have never had an issue at all. In fact I'm starting to love my AK better than my AR!!!

I shoot surplus corrosive and have had no issues hot soapy water and then standard cleaning.
