Judaism, being the root religion of Christianity, reciprocity is granted across all Christian denominations to those of Jewish heritage. Also, your girlfriends weapon must not have a muzzle attachment (aka circumcised). As far as her carrying on Sabbath, she should consult with her Rabbi. It would probably be just fine for a Reform synagogue, iffy for Conservative and probably not allowed for an Orthodox.

Wheelgun,

It was posted a while back, but the Chief Rabbi of Israel says wearing a gun on Sabbath is required. Since the purpose of the gun was to insure peace and defend yourself or your community, and Sabbath is supposed to be peaceful, it was a good thing (mitzvah) to have the gun or shoot to insure peace.

So, the order is just backwards and the Orthodox would embrace carrying and the Reform might be ambivalent.
