A post above prompted me to look on e-Bay for cellphone holsters. There's a gazillion of 'em!

I've already found one for my XD 9 SC and my XD .45 Service mags. Now looking for 1911- 7 round and 8 round mag holders in the e-Bay cell phone holster section as well as one for my Browning Hi Power.

The bullets aren't choosey about their conveyance and everybody else doesn't need to know what's in the little pouch that looks like a cellphone...except me.

Soon, I'll be able to economically tote a whole bunch of rounds.....as long as my britches hold up and my back doesn't give out.

No, but they may have another question on their mind...

"Why is he carrying 4 cell phones?"
"rlol" :rolll :lol:

I get people asking me about that, and I only carry 2! (work, and personal)

I saw an add for the Desantis tuck this II- has a mag holder also in it like the prior post. Wondering if anyone as seen this in person or has experience with it. looking at it since can be carried in several positions. good to try out which is the best postion for me before ordering a good leather one

I got one I bought at Midway that has a velcro flap and looks a lot like a knife case. Nice and low-profile.

Prior to ordering my Fobus Paddle magazine pouch I used a nylon Buck knife case for my Taurus PT-111, Millennium Pro 9mm. It just appeared to be a Buck knife.

Respectfully, maybe you're overthinking it a bit. Lots of folks make cell phone carriers in all shapes, colors and configurations. Buy a cell phone carrier with a top flap and put a single stack mag in it. Or, a holster/scabbard for a folder kinda/sorta like the Buck 110 and put a mag in it.

I've got the Desantis Tuck This II w/ 1 mag holder attached for my Walther PPK/S .380 and it's pretty comfortably but the Walther is a pretty small pistol.

I use a Federal Holsterworks black cordura single mag pouch that clips to my belt right next to my cellphone holder. Unless you're really into guns or know what you're looking at-it appears to be a knife or flashlight case. It clips on solid and will not come off unless you really want it to(it's difficult to get the clip to turn loose of the belt when I want it off), and holds my spare Ruger .40 cal magazine perfectly.

Nite Ize company makes some great holsters for cell phones and other gear like tools, flashlights etc. I have a basic little cell phone holster I picked up from Lowe's years ago. When I bought my Ruger LCP, I realized the itty-bitty 6-round mags for that gun easily slide into one of the accessory pouches in the holster. You can see the top (actually bottom) of the mag sticking out top (black polymer bottom plate) but even experienced gun owners at the range haven't "spotted" this until I pointed it out to them.

I've been meaning to post some pics soon of some of my carry options and will post pics of this set up when I get a chance. Probably would work great with any small single-stack mag. Also larger pouches available for larger "smart" phones with accessory pockets that could hold any large caliber single-stack mag (1911, for instance).

I've been using a ToolMan case, it completely covers 2 1911 single stack mags.

Mainly carry a 3" 1911, so the mag is shorter by one round. Academy sells something similar with two pouch capacity, too.
Not a photographer, but you can get the idea. It would take a lot of imagination to figure out what's in these pouches.

I guess the knife/toolman utility knife/tool section, "Hunting" or "camping" areas, might have gotten some at Walmart also....same type area...camping.
Good Luck

I've been using a fobus paddle double mag carrier for years. Not the toughest, most comfortable, most concealable thing in the world... but it was cheap and it has held up and works well.

That's a great idea. I've been keeping my spare mag in the pocket of my pants.
