Many of us carried & none of us were busted.
Glad you went armed. Saw several at ours that I know were armed too.

The TEA Party went very well. Perry gave a great speech, and the crowd loved it.

We did carry, and had no problems. The police were checking bags and purses at the gate, but I left my purse in the truck, and had my gun tucked into my pants. Since they weren't frisking anybody, we just walked right past them with no problems. LOL

Went to the Tea Party on NASA Rd 1 near Seabrook. Was Great, Ron Paul spoke and he was at his best.
Great to be along so many thinking folks. I was well armed. I didn't recognize any fellow CHLers but then again I don't know what many look like.
Looked to me like there was over 1500 people maybe 2500.

A coworker and I went to the one in downtown Houston at Jones Plaza. It was quite a turnout, and no problem with carrying there. No one was inspecting bags or purses either. There was a huge presence of HPD though, but they were keeping their distance at the corners opposite the plaza.

I did see a "I'll keep my guns, you keep the change" banner, "Come and take it" and "Don't tread on me" flags as well.

I went to the San Antonio one, and Mr. Quiet and Reserved (Ted Nugent) was there. He's up on stage and said, "Someone asked me if I was going to carry a gun to this thing. I told them 'I'm not going to carry *a* gun. That's like carrying *a* bullet.'" Several references were made to the fact by various speakers that there were surely many people carrying concealed weapons in the crowd. I carried and had no problem.

It was a great time. I'd encourage everyone to listen to Ted's talk there. He came down hard on us. Said something along the lines of, "the problem's not the liberals, not Obama, not Pelosi, not..., the problem is apathy." Good to come out to rallies, but if we don't follow up with voting and almost more importantly, writing and calling our reps/senators, then it's not going to do much good.

Sorry if this should have gone in a different folder.

We went to the Ft Worth (LaGrave Field) rally. I carried in without any problem. Constables were at the gate, asking to look in purses and handbags, but not searching any men. We hooked up with killerfly128 while we were there.

I'm actually curious as to what constables would have done had they found a woman carrying a gun in her purse, as long as she was able to produce a CHL.

I am sure if a woman had produced a CHL before the constable looked in the purse it would have been a non issue.

Probably, you're right. The thought occurs to me only because of the number of times I've read of LEO contacts on these pages where the LEO in question appeared to be somewhat ignorant of CHL rights and requirements. I suppose that the number of well-informed officers outnumbers those who are poorly informed; and I'm sure that individual officer attitudes toward CHL are probably often the results of their department's corporate culture and of their department's attitude towards CHL.

The question remains though, "What were they looking for?"

Guns, bibles, and a sense of self worth? Or maybe they were looking for Obamananana fan club membership cards? "rlol"
