Why would you want to do that when you can fire off your G34 as quick as a G18?

I'd get Eddie Jiminea to build me two Caspian Wide-Bodies, one for Limited and another for Open.
That's not a bad idea.
G.C.Montgomery wrote: After that, I'd call up, Ed Brown, Hilton Yam, Larry Vickers, Mark Morris, Les Baer, and the guys at Rock River Arms to request two government models from each of them. All with fixed sights (Novak or Heinie), long triggers, flat mainspring housings and S&A magwells.
Like I told my friend. You can never have too many 1911s.

The G18C because I would only have to pull the trigger a third as often and wouldn't wear out the trigger or my finger quite as fast.
I'm still kicking myself for letting go of this Eddie gun. If anyone ever sees it on the market again, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I want it back.

G.C.Montgomery, I am not usually a fun of race type guns, but that one is one nice looking gun. What possessed you to part with such a fine piece?

It paid for two full semesters of college. I was thinking I'd replace it with something better after graduation. But four years later, I just haven't come across anything quite as cool.

I'd say that the gun went to a worthy cause.
How about world peace?

Well, since I'm not that familiar with everything out there to pick from, I've got my own mini-wish list that I started. Some are generalities (brand/model undecided as yet), but here goes:
To replace the guns I foolishly let go when hocked before I was ever married:
* Colt Gvt. Mark IV Series 70 (was in 9mm, but will take a .45 today)
* Dan Wesson .44 Mag/ 6.5" Barrel
* Winchester Wells Fargo Comm. .30-30 (and not just any WFC... believe it or not the one I had, received Christmas of 1977 and hocked in the mid-'80's [*unfired* at that], had a half-hexagonal barrel... didn't realize what I had lost, a one-of-a-kind no doubt, until years later).
To add to the collection of guns I never hocked (thank goodness!), but in no particular order after the first one listed:
* 9mm SD handgun for wife
* Ruger Blackhawk or S&W .44 Mag
* Marlin lever-action .44 Mag
* Remington 700 .270 (with after-market trigger)
* Remington Model 1100 12 Ga.
* Charles Daly SA .45
* AR-15 (just for fun & grins, and to tick off a Clinton... may try building one myself)
* 12 Ga. defensive pump
* .410
* .308
* .357 Mag. revolver
There's actually a few more (a Kimber 1911 for example), but that would keep me happy for quite a while!
Oh, and I guess I shouldn't forget... a 400-acre parcel of land so that I can shoot and hunt without having to pay someone a king's ransom for a lease here in Texas. I can't afford a hunting lease at the going rates anyway, so that would be really nice!

A Smith&Wesson Model 60 3" bbl (prelock)
