well, for my rifle I use a Custom built Win.mod.70 CRF with a Shilen 27" Select match grade barrel in 300 Win .Mag and with a Burris 4.5-14x42 that is a tack driver.

I hand load a 168 A-max at 3276fps and its a game getter at over 600 yds. I have my own range in the back and shoot at least 3 days a week.

I have a Short rifle range 100 yds and a long range thats 1250 Yds

Plus the pistol range and small skket range

Sounds great. I have never shot 1200 yds. before. Matter of fact I only have access to 500. Shoot that at Angelina Rifel & Pistol some.

And then there's always appeture sights and scopes ...

Eyes at 40 --- wait until past 60, it really gets to be fun then. That's why I have Burris BD 8x32 on 2 of my rifiles. In a few more years I'll be the one on the range with a 60x spotting scope mounted on my rifle with duct tape.

Tri-focals here & understand that.

I have a Remington PSS in .308 - just picked it up recently. Haven't even gotten
a chance to fire it between moving and my new job. It has a Harris bi-pod
and a Leupold VX-III Boone and Crockett 4.5-14x X 40mm scope
on top of it. Couldn't pass the deal up that I found.

Grew up shooting shotguns mostly tho.

I have a PSS in .308 with a 20" barrel. It currently has a Leupold 6-20 Mil-Dot on it, because I fell down the stairs in the Tower at Thunder Ranch and sheered the turret off the Leupold 3-9 Mil-Dot! (Yeah, it's funny now. )

I was surprised how accurate it was at longer ranges.

Favorite rifle to fondle and pamper - occaisionally shoot when I want to drill a group you can cover up with a nickel - pre-64 Mod 70 in 243.

Favorite rifles to take to the range and throw lots of lead - two Ruger mini-14's, one a stainless mini and one a blue ranch rifle.

I need an AR in the worst way. If I ever manage some time off I plan on building one or two or who knows. I will still keep the Rugers. I keep the stainless model loaded up for a bug out rifle......If another Rita heads this way it will be in the cab with me along with the shotgun and pistola(s).

Wow! Thats a lot of money to be funny about, lol.

I've been looking around at prices, seeing about
putting a Leupold Mark Series LR on there. But considering
that the whole rifle rig cost me only a few hundred bucks
more than the new scope would cost - I'm going to
sit back and enjoy the rig for now :)

You bet, it would have been. I can't believe I forgot to throw a plug in for Leupold. I called them and told them exactly what happened. The guy asked if my arm was still bruised, I said "yes," and he said, "well I can't fix that but I can certainly fix the scope at no charge." I even argued with him a little trying to pay for repairs, but here would hear of it. Less than two weeks later, a new scope arrived. You can’t beat that customer service!

P.S. cyphur, you need to drive your 'Vette to Friendswood and bring the PSS. We'll go to our range at PSC and have some fun.

Charles, I'm in the market for a vette. Right now I have a heavily modded 2000 Trans Am - but its for sale ;)

Friendswood is about a 5 hour drive for me, I'm about 10 minutes east of Dallas. Not too far, but not too close. I'm sure I'll find a reason to come down sooner or later that the wife won't flip over, lol.

my bolt rilfe, well one anyway, is sitting in the living room drying out. i got a 24" savage 10FP in .308. it has a boyd's laminate target stock that i've pillar bedded, and now glass bedded. it's got a harris bipod and a burris scope. it's a heavy sucker, but it's accurate.

i have about 20 long guns and each one has its purpose, or so the wife thinks.
