I want to wish everyone, including you, USA1 ( "rlol" ) a very safe and Merry Christmas!

We are having family here, so we'll have all 4 grandchildren here to celebrate the birth of our Lord. It's just the wife & I tonight and we'll be doing the midnight service at Church.

We are doing our traditional Christmas Day ham & turkey breast sandwich buffet, complete with queso dip, relish tray, Christmas tamales, and my favorite Little Smokies. Mrs. joe817 is in the kitchen right now baking 2 batches of her special chewy/gooey brownies. Add to the desert table: chocolate éclairs, Christmas cookies, and cheesecake.

In closing, I'd never thought I'd see the day where we have snow on Christmas Eve, but it's snowing outside right now. My first snowy Christmas. Who'da thunk.

God Bless us all, Everyone! :tiphat:

From my family to all of you, Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year!

I have been told by the social director that we don't have to be anywhere until 6:30 this evening. A few hours with the Grandkids and the rest of the family, then 11:00 candlelight service. Back with the Grandkids tomorrow, then off to Kansas for pheasant/quail hunting on Saturday morning!

And Joe817, the snow is great! I moved to North Texas from Iowa 25 years ago and haven't seen a white Christmas in that many years! :txflag:

I've got 14 relatives coming over between tonight and tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it.

I'm making turkey, cornbread dressing, gravy, a pecan pie, and spiced cider. The others are bringing the rest.

Merry Cristmas to all, we will have all three kids with spouses and the six grand kids here tomorrow as well as my brother. Tonight it's just a nice quiet white Christmas for the 2 of us. Maybe I'll let the wife open here present so I can install her new gunsafe in the trunk b-4 all my helpers show up tomorrow.

Meal tomorrow is all easy quick salads, sandwiches, dips, chips and cheese cakes this year.

What a terrific idea!

Merry Christmas y'all.

Our Christmas tradition is Chinese food and a movie. Weather permitting, I'm going to go sight in my HK91 deer rifle Friday.

Reminds me of that scene in "A Christmas Story"....

Jinger bears, jinger bears, jinger aw de ray...

Teeze da season toobie jarry, farararara-ra-ra-ra-ra...

Merry Christmas Everybody!!

We're having a lamb roast, a honey baked ham, mashed potatoes, artichoke gratinata, roasted and caramelized baby carrots and onions, a salad with Parmesan crisps, tiramisu pudding, and my wife's nearly world famous glazed apple tart. My wife is an incredible cook!

...and people wonder why I'm built the way I am. It's a burden, but somebody's got to carry it. Might as well be me.

Oh, and our member HIghVelocity and his date will be joining us for dinner, so I'll let him independently verify the quality. :tiphat:
