Normally, I'd agree with you. But after checking
http://www.texas3006.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; this is their third store location that has been reported as posting some sort of 30.06 sign. Other two apparently are legit (though I've not seen them personally). I'm thinking this could be some new corporate edict that is slowly trickling down to the individual stores, thus felt the need to let the chairman/ceo and president/coo know how I feel.
Plus, regardless of compliant/non-compliant nature of their sign, the mere fact that they posted it at all makes me want to cease doing business with them until they remove the sign. Gunbusters and "no guns allowed" signs I just walk right past and don't worry about it nor make a stink. But this is a more coordinated effort that almost gets the 30.06 requirements right. So someone did their homework and specifically wants to ban CHL from their store, not just post a gunbusters sign to make the antis happy.
Wrong. If someone had "done their homework," they'd have posted a compliant sign. Almost only counts in Horseshoes.

If we're discussing validity of the sign, absolutely agree with you.
If we're discussing my future business with EyeMasters, there are plenty of other places to buy eyeglasses. Almost is close enough to lose me as a customer.

Over 6,000 members, which is a whopping 0.03% of the population of the entire state.
This is strictly my personal opinion, but I do not mention this forum to anyone who is not already pro-RKBA. Some of the controversies that are discussed in public here are, shall we say, difficult for outsiders to understand.

I hear ya austinrealtor and Jim - I thought about mentioning "this group is comprised mostly of 4 eyes (like myself)"
Regarding this forum and the 30.06 forum - they are both easily viewed by the public, both pro and against RKBA, and show up regularly in search engines (I've had this forum come up as the first or second result when doing a search for some things), but I hear you.
**Edited to add: You could go about it this way: "I'm a member of the Texas CHL community and all 6,000+ members will be notified of your actions." - or something along those lines - the gist of it is that you want to impress upon these folks that "hey - there's 6,000 possible customers in Texas that YOU'VE just ALIENATED!! As in no $$$$ from them!"
There are other forums I'm on where these tactics have worked - the company doesn't want the bad publicity - granted, it's usually over not honoring a warranty, but whatever works - that's what matters.

There is a concept in the information world generally described as "drinking from a fire hose." Forums like this one show up on search engines if you are specifically looking for them, but otherwise they are submerged in the vast ocean of information.
Some companies have PR or legal-department employees who search for the company name online. I think that may be what got Taco Cabana to stop posting non-compliant signs, but no one who knows for sure is talking.
I should mention that I go to a Texas State Optical franchise that has no anti-RKBA signage, and the optometrist specifically tailored my prescription for shooting, at my request.

But that's another subject for another thread.

Jim - they also show up first, if, by dumb luck, what you are searching for, happens to be the name of the forum!
That's cool about your glasses.
BTW - appointment made for eye doc tomorrow, he's right next to the local (Grapevine) Eyemasters...I'll check to see if they have a 30.06 sign. Will take/post a pic if they do.

It seems only certain corporations with out-of-state headquarters are, shall we say, anal about this stuff.
I still have never seen a valid 30.06 sign. I'm told that some branches of one business of which I am a client (credit union) has them, but I avoid those branches.

If they do have a 30.06 sign, be sure to post it on

+1
Non compliant sign is equal to a ghostbusters sign.
CHLers go out of their way and then some to comply to the letter of the law with all our 'gun stuff'. Everyone else can do the same.

Just a thought... it may also be helpful to cite the demographic of the majority of TX CHL holders. The overwhelming majority is in the 45-60 age bracket. That's a lot of aging eyes that need corrective lenses.

Name a business that wouldn't think twice about turning away 6,000 potential customers.

Avoid it altogether and go to
http://www.framesdirect.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; in Houston. Their showroom is small, but they can get just about any frame you want at a low price. And, they have no 30.06 sign (I was just there last week).

actually, the corporate headquarters of the parent company ECCA are in San Antonio, though that company is a subsidiary of some company called Highmark and who knows where they're from.
