Judging by his superior lack of intellect I really doubt he clears the gun to see if it is loaded ever. This is the kind of person that hurts the image of responsible gun owners. Any time I engage in a conversation with a fence sitter I always emphasize that safety is number one, not home defense, when owning a gun.
