Does anyone know which state(s) do not celebrate Memorial Day? Or do they just not celebrate it on the last Monday in May?

One of my favorite monuments, the "Friend to Friend" monument in Gettysburg.
Memorial Day is always a little tough for me. As a civilian that has very regretfully never served, I can't help but feel the guilt of not serving while many of my generation has in these current wars.
I thank God for those of you that have served this great nation.

When I was in the service, a paratrooper with the 3/325 Airborne Battalion Combat Team stationed in Vicenza, Italy. I was here in the US in school when my unit was deployed for Desert Storm, I was reassigned an never re-joined them. I felt the same way like I let them down and didn't pull my weight and didn't do my part. Still feel the same way even today.
