Keep your ammo away from WD40 as well!

I've got a hundred of the empties reloaded with trusty Federal primers...same cases, different primers. We'll see what happens when all this rain clears.

That will clear things up in a hurry! :coolgleamA:
I'm anxious to find out about your results with Federal primers. I'm also curious to know, what brand of powder you'll be using for the reloads?
Keep us updated.

These were my first 380ACP reloads, but I've been doing several other calibers for 15 years or so...

This recipe is a middle of the published data load of Hodgdon Univ. Clays and a 100 grain Berry's plated bullet. Hey, it's a belly gun, so I'm just worried about it going bang and being able to hit a melon at 10 yards so I use what i have laying around.

I know this thread is 2 months old, but I just wanted to add that I've had light primer strikes in revolvers with .38/.357 magnum and in autos with .40 S&W monarch ammo. It's the only ammo i've ever had trouble with in my pistols. I guess there's a reason why it's so cheap.

Yep-Monarch sucks. I'm just glad the .380 famine is over.

The only problem with Monarch ammo that I have had is with a couple of boxed of .223. Everything else has worked fine.

:iagree: Me, too. One range trip I had 3 or 4 .223 out of a hundred. But not in any pistol ammo.
