Mailed FRI 27 MAY.
Delivered SAT 28 MAY
I live in the Fort Hood area. About 50 miles north of Austin.
40 days total. Mailbox to mailbox.

Hi,
The Texas DPS CHL web site indicated that my CHL was mailed on Friday, 27-May-2011. The web site was updated about 7:10 AM on Friday morning. I received my CHL at my house in San Antonio at 2:00 PM on Saturday, 28-May-2011. So it only took one day for the Post Office to deliver my CHL from Austin to San Antonio.

Mine was mailed on 5/24/2011, received on 5/24/2011. However, the postmark was 5/25/2011.
So, depending on which day to use, it took one or two days. Forty-one days total from submitting the requirements until receiving the license. A very looooooooong 41 days.
