They shouldn't fire at the protesters except in response to violence. On the other hand, I think they should fire the protesters and hire people who are willing to do an honest day's work in exchange for an honest day's pay. There are probably many people who got laid off in the private sector who are willing to work hard for a fair paycheck, even without pensions and other benefits most taxpayers don't get.
