After tracking down where my grips went when they were mis-delivered by Fed-Ex, I got my Nill Super Walnut Grips in for the 226 today. Unfortunately my spare parts box is missing the set of Sig 226 grip screws, and the screws that came with the gun were shortened so they will not work. But never fear, Midway USA came to the rescue with a pair of hex head screws that will be shipping tomorrow along with some others stuff. Eventually I plan to send it back to sig for the Sig Service Plan and an SRT trigger install. Overall I have to say that of the 4 9mm handguns I have, the P226 is my favorite, its still not a 1911 but it is a Sig.
Now if you want to talk about panic, you should have heard the Fed-Ex rep's response when he saw my package that was missing came from Sig Sauer. The first words I heard after "The shipper was Sig Sauer..." were "Please tell me we didn't just loose a gun..."

my 226 has the fiber optic front site and the SRT trigger and I love it, granted I have never shot one with out.

When I've received packages from a certain much-maligned 1911 manufacturer, the shipping label says they came from Elvis.

I just realized that I didn't post everything about my order activity. The hex head screws are for the spare parts kit, and Brownells is sending some Factory grip screws for the grips (I prefer the factory look).

I just had to snap a photo of the grips on the gun, even if I don't have good grip screws.

It baffles me that the SRT isn't the standard trigger on all Sigs. I love Sigs with it.
Without it, they just don't feel like that great of a gun IMO. It makes a HUGE difference.

$99 shipped, from Sig. These are Karl Nill Super Walnut Grips, and feel as good as they look.

I am probably "old-fashioned", but I still like walnut grips on a handgun.
