Buy a new gun, THEN worry about educating her

That's when you say "Yes dear, I'll take care of it right away." Then kiss her and head to the favorite GS. Oh, and you'll need some ammo, and a new holster too. And while you're out, just to be safe, you'll need some range time to be 'sure' you know how to operate it safely.
All in the name of being safe and keeping her happy of course.

That's my take as well!
Chas.
Yep... sounds to me like she is telling him to buy a Kimber.

Almost as light as single action on my HK (around 4.5lbs) Better off keep you boogie off the trigger unless you acquired sight picture and ready to shoot.
shouldn't that be the case with
any firearm? Not just Glock?

When are you guys going to learn to just say "Yes, Dear"?

On the questions about safeties on pistols I would ask those concerned with a manual saftey if it would bother them of the current (or hundreds of years) revolvers were/are carried without a manual safety.
Revolvers typically have a heavier trigger pull but not always. Keeping your finger off the trigger works for both.

+1 on getting a 1911. Then when she starts in about you carrying "cocked-and-locked" you can buy yet another handgun!

Some of us have already. After 40 years, I understand the Internet term "SWMBO" (She who must be obeyed)
Two seconds after my wife tells me that I need to buy a new gun, all she is going to see is my backside going out the door! Over my shoulder, I'd be reminding her that there are no returns on handguns.

Resurrecting My post from 5 years ago. I ended up with a Kimber Crimson Ultra carry II. Mainly due to not finding an STI locally. I have been one of the lucky ones as it feeds anything I put in it. But guess who carries a Glock 19 with "no safety" yes my wife.

That's great!! I always love Irony, My wife and I both own M&P 9's and that was one of the first questions she asked me after getting hers home was where is the safety?
When I explained it to her and she got to shoot it, along with a Beretta, and a friends 1911, she said hers was easier to shoot because she didn't have to remember to disengage the safety.

Is a manual hammer safety the only thing that would satisfy her requirement? What about an XD that combines a grip safety with the Glock-style trigger safety in addition to the internals.
