The Corvette would be better for the experience, styling, and fun factors in my opinion, but is less practical on these other matters. If these things aren't relevant, go all in and get the Corvette!
Answers above....I should also add that I'm mesmerized by the new Shelby GT500 Convertible....WOW!

Isn't that like asking Sigma vs M&P

My point was S&W makes both the Sigma and M&P, like Chevy makes both the Camaro and Corvette. Same manufacturer but different price points.

Three lessons I have learned...
1. Never pick up a cute puppy until you are ready to keep it;
2. Never sit on a motorcycle unless you intend to ride off on it; and...
3. Never sit behind the wheel unless you know how to pay for it.
But even after saying this, GO FOR THE VETTE!!!
( I lean toward the white one )

The Vette. The Camaro just isn't that all that and a bag of chips.

I am driving an 05 Acura RL, however, if I want to replace it, I would pick a 2 yrs old loaed Z06 with less than 20,000 miles

My wife and I are much older but we bought a new Corvette. A 2005 model. Always wanted one so why not? Great car but wait till the thing needs new tires. At that time only Goodyear made them. $870 for two on the car with alignment and balance. Told her we had to sell by the need for rear tires came around. We did. First of the 05 models. great car though.

My wife and I bought an 05 Corvette. First of Gen 6. Great car until we needed tires. The two front tires cost us $870 with balance and alignment. We sold before we needed rear tires.

The Corvette will be a impractical bundle of fun

The Camaro will be a slightly more practical car that will also make you smile when the light turns green, unless of course you've driven the vette...

My guess is if you drive the vette you'll end up with it.

(and I agree you should look for a used C6)

Regarding tires, I'm prepared for it....both of my current vehicles are pricey when it comes to tires, but I think the Vette will be a little higher....

Wifey did a little searching for me and she found a sweet 2011 Inferno Orange Corvette Coupe with 6-speed manual last night....and the dealer is "playing ball" so-to-speak (~$8K off of sticker).

Daddy like! So, noodling it around.

IMHO, and it's worth what you pay for it,

if i had 50k to drop on a car, i'd keep what i had and drop 30 k on a classic. one that has been redone correctly and for all arguments is "new". they have more personality, any body can make payments on a new ride,
