I alternate between IWB and OWB. It has nothing to do with the weather but more to do with what I'll be doing. I'll for sure carry OWB if I'm planning on having a large meal while I'm out and about. Member "USA1" dubbed it a buffet holster!
IWB=Crossbreed Supertuck
OWB=Tucker GunLeather Compact Pancake

Good Luck!

I almost always carry OWB. It's just so much more comfortable, especially if you carry a larger gun (like a double-stack .45). I make my own holsters, so I can try just about any mode of carry that I want, but I always come back to OWB. I've never had any trouble concealing and even friends who know I ALWAYS carry never notice. Just make sure your shirt is long enough, and you'll be fine.

This one has been my EDC holster since I made it in June. It's easy on/off (I can't carry on the job), really comfortable, secure and conceals well, even under just a t-shirt. It also fits my PT145 with the Stingray laser, unlike any ready-made holster out there.

For me OWB Comp Tac paddle holsters for both my full size and UC II Kimbers. Worn under untucked shirt most of the time.

Been waiting to resurrect this old thread.

Thanks to the recent cold front, I've finally been able to cross over the other side. :cool: Carried OWB for the first time Sunday and Monday while wearing a heavy rugby shirt. Used a DeSantis Mini Slide w/ my Kahr CW9. Gotta admit, it was mighty comfortable. I did find myself fidgeting with my shirt more often, but I'm sure I'll get over that with more practice and experience.

USA1 wrote:Hot or cold, I only do OWB. With the right holster and a roomy shirt, it's not a problem. The important thing is that your cover garment is long enough so that your gun doesn't play peekaboo. ;-)
Ditto!

And I've been doing it with my G21SF for two months now.

Doesn't that poke out a bit when you're sitting or bending over?

Are you asking about the gun or my gut?

Seriously, it's not at all obtrusive. I've been wearing it regularly since June and I've had no problems keeping it concealed under a t-shirt. Under my current cool-weather garb, it's invisible. I put a pretty extreme cant on it, and besides, I usually squat, rather then bend over to pick something up.
