OK, Now I'm joining you guys. Here's the dates so far; let's see how quickly this goes. My wife and I did this together so there's two more in the 'in' basket in Austin!
Applied online: 1-30-12
Fingerprints: 2-3-12
CHL Class: 2-4-12
Overnight to DPS: 2-6-12

Greg, Hopefully yours will go as painless as mine did. Not too long of a wait, but it seems like a long month process. Hang in there and before you know it, you will have plastic.

Finally reached the last step!
Today, 3/2, it shows 'Mailed'!
Yesterday it was 'manufacturing', the day before it was 'manufacturing pending', so that step was just a day or two.
Should have plastic by Monday!

Well, it finally got here...took forever from the day it said 'Mailed', but I got it! 
So, DPS got it all on February 7th...plastic in hand on March 10th.
Not bad overall.
