These didn't happen after using after home defense, but they were confiscated from their owners who were not convicted of a crime.

It would be no skin off their back if they wanted to do it. It they get the warrant, all the lawyer can do is stand around and watch.

Absolutely not saying it would not happen anyway.. But if so, it would be very well documented, with what ever PC they came up with a matter of public record, something that can not be changed or modified after the fact.

Most, of which are good, LEO's would never do anything like this.. BUT as with any group of humans, not all in the group are good, honest, law abiding. For those few, that Im likely never to meet, if I should, I will make it as difficult as possible to be taken advantage of.. Same principle we most follow when out and about.. It's not that we strive to stop crime,, we strive to present a target the bad guys choose not to bother with.

From personal experience... It does happen. Even in some cases where the self defense was not in the home. The police might be in your home to arrest you after the self defense happened at an earlier time. Getting arrested does not mean guilt. It means your under investigation and they are trying to establish whether or not it was self defense. That is what lawyers are for!
