Maybe for now I can clear the weapon and hide the gun and ammo in separate spots as well as use the lock that came with the pistol.

You could, but that means a lot of unnecessary handling.

That's cool, but it really is going to depend on exactly what their policy says. If it doesn't say it is okay then it won't be. Texas' new parking lot law does not cover school employees.
