just try to deal with it...but...keep an eye on him and be prepared for what you will say the day when your sister comes to you saying her husband lied to her. Sorry, but, if he's lying to you, his business partner....well...who else is he lying to?

If in fact there is no gun policy or a pro gun policy at this business, then I would have never told BIL in the first place. I don't think he has a right to know if the previous is true. But that helps little at this point in the game. Yes, I would be upset but there is really nothing you can do at this point except learn from the experience and down play the issue.

You only have yourself to be mad at. Had you not told anyone about your CHL, no one would have known. :nono:

I know I know should of kept my mouth shut but I still say he has the right to know. In the future I will be more cautious on the information I share with him.

If you think he has a right to know then you shouldn't complain who he thinks has a right to know.

What's done is done.

Cliche?

Yes and true.

Forgive yourself and move on.

Years ago, I told a friend (silly me) I have a CHL.

One day, in a store, we happened upon each other. He announced, to the manager of the store, (with customers able to hear) in a loud voice with a big grin, that HE (meaning me) carries a gun! My friend seemed proud of me and I guess was happy to share. Ay Yi Yi!

Thankfully, no one paid any attention.

For all practical purposes his announcement was ignored.

If you you're lucky, the same thing will ultimately be the case for you.

Hang in there.

It's not the end of the world.

Occasionally, we all divulge a secret we wish we hadn't.

We learn...
