As much as I'd like to attend, support the cause, and meet some fellow forum members, I've gotta be at work that day. :-/

I'll be working.
The difficulty with pro-gun rallies is that pro-gun people have jobs, lives, families, responsibilities and committments.
On the other hand, the "occupier" group.....

And this is being held on a Saturday. Surely the 2nd Amendment is important enough to interrupt our busy lives on a Saturday, ONE weekend out of the year? If you have kids, you bring them along and give them a grassroots look at their civic responsibilities as citizens of this country. WE GOT TO WHERE WE ARE
PRECISELY because conservatives are too busy to turn out on the streets and demonstrate their displeasure with their government. Is there a SINGLE civil rights issue
anywhere on the planet—and have no doubt that the 2nd Amendment is a civil rights issue—that was won by its advocates without turning out into the streets? I think you'd be hard pressed to find one anywhere in human history.
Protesters in Iran turn out for their civil rights
knowing beyond any doubt that some of them will not be going home that night. Protestors in China faced down main battle tanks in Tienamen Square. The black civil rights movement in the south in the 1950s, '60s, & early '70s faced police dogs, fire hoses, rioting policemen, and poor excuses for "citizens" who threatened and beat them, shot at them
and even lynched them.
Gun owners in America, right now, have the luxury of protesting in the streets without facing that kind of persecution. I don't think it is worth losing your job over.........not YET.......but barring a commitment that is simply inescapable and more important than the immediate defense of the 2nd Amendment, we would be sorry pieces of work if we didn't ALL make it.

Seems everyone was quick to pile on Alex Jones for his public vehemence. Okay, he probably should switch to Decaf however here we are. Here's a chance to show em how its done. Instead it's
Somebody call Ted Nugent!!
Seriously, Where do you draw a line in the sand? When some UN Soldier is kicking in your door? That's where we're headed.

I was told by the state leader that the rally starts at noon. Probably last a couple of hours or more. He said to bring pro 2A signs or banners. Dress is respectful. We don't want to look or seem like that occupy bunch.

Planning to be there. Yes, you can carry in the Capitol - just show your CHL to the person at the metal detectors, they'll scan it, then let you walk around.
Signs ...
Could go with this one
Or this one
But probably doesn't send the appropriate message
How about ...
"My guns have never killed anyone"
Or
"Why after every mass shooting they always want to take guns away from people who DIDN'T DO IT?"
or
"What part of 'shall not be infringed' do you not understand?"
Or
Husband.
Father.
American.
Gun owner.
*obviously altered to fit your particular situation*
Or
"Law-abiding gun owner"
Or
"Good guy with a gun"

I want to attend this. Even if its just for an hour or so. This is a huge issue and I feel the need to show face for this one.
