I carried the entire day today. Felt good. I could definitely feel that I had a pad of leather over there but it is so much better than having my gun hanging on the outside. It was comfortable sitting, standing everything.. Only issue was I felt like I was bloated all day like I ate at a Chinese buffet due to the gun being inside my pant waist.. No biggie though.

I love how tight it keeps the gun on my body. Overall it is awesome. But this is my first true iwb holster so i can't compare. ;-)

Thanks for the info. You get used to IWB after a while. I had been carrying a full sized 1911 IWB in a Galco Royal Guard.
I'm looking forward to getting my White Hat. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to ship.

I'll join the White Hat club. Just ordered a MaxTuck in Vintage Horsehide for my XDS. Also ordered an extra Kydex for my J-Frame S&W. Hard to beat the functionality of 2 holsters in 1.

Awesome. I need to order a kydex for my others now. It's been a few days and it kept getting better. Very comfortable. I'm still amazed at house much the holster design helps hide the weapon tight against your body. It just disappears when a shirt is over it.

Seems like an expensive holster. Think you'll get a nicer holster for less money from Zlogonje Gunleathers

Yes, that one definetely is! So to try them out I decided to order one of their "stocking item's". This is the one I chose, it was $40...

The only differences with this one compared to the other expensive one I posted is that it is not form fitted to the gun(which doesn't matter since it is IWB) and it does not support one hand reholstering. It only took six days to arrive compared to 6 weeks for the other one because they keep these in stock. I ordered it late at night on March 28th and it arrived April 2nd. This is one fine little holster. Excellent quality. Very comfortable after wearing it all day. With a good belt, all the xds needs is a single clip holster. It has an adjustable tension screw which I prefer. I'd highly recommend it.

I like it because it is still a tuckable style holster, which gives you the option to tuck your shirt inbetween the holster and clip so that just the clip is exposed.

if i could make a suggestion, that xds with 6 rds of 45 may be too much weight for a single clip holster from my experience. I carried one with a n82 tactical professional series and it wasn't enough support. granted I didn't have my gunbelt at the time so that could have been some of the issue as well. so take my pennies with a grain of salt!

I just use the holster that came with it.....seems to work just fine. Though I also tried it in an ankle holster.

I have found the Dale Fricke Archangel to be a good solid holster. Appendix is an aquired taste but very fast and about the only way to go after you have tried FOF.

What is FOF? The top google search result was an urban dictionary result that wouldn't be forum appropriate and made me laugh, but it would have been situationally appropriate if there was a chance of negligent discharge in appendix carry position for a man. "rlol"

XDs and most other polymer small single stacks will hold up fine in a single clip holster of good quality WITH a quality gun belt. Where I personally draw the line is around the transition above 3.5" barrel length and double stack (assuming polymer). So, an M&P9c is okay, but a XDm 3.8 compact or a G19 may not be. Depends on how much movement you tolerate and body type also, I suspect. Extra padding on the body may help hold the gun in place with a single clip. That's two cents

A gun belt makes a huge difference in supporting the weight of the gun.

I've been carrying my Kahr CM9 and S&W Shield in a Stickholster. They don't clip to the belt but they don't move around much at all and they are very easy to slip on and off when disarming before work and rearming after.

FOF is Force on Force

If you carry, FOF shows you what works and what doesn't. It is something the square range cannot provide. We generally use airsoft copies, wearing full face masks, using standard carry gear such as belts and holsters. We work thru various scenarios of personal protection such as being approached in a parking lot, holdup in progress, attacked with a knife, and so on.

Maybe its because I don't know any different, but I carry my XD 40 appendix with a regular Tagua leather single clip.
Its about a 30$ holster, but I have had a couple and really liked them.

I have trouble keeping my Tagua clip in place when I use it for my Colt Mustang. Plus, it puts pressure on my mag release button and disengages the mag. Not good if I was to need to put my gun into use in a hurry.
