That's an excellent point and I don't think it's accidental. It fits the liberal narrative that people should cower in hiding and if discovered, submit to the mercy of thugs, rather than defend themselves. It's part of a methodical demonization of self-defense the fostering of dependency on government.

Years ago in Louisana there was a slime ball terrorizing women on IH10. He was called "The Blue Light Rapist." LA State Police told women, and anyone else who was on a dark stretch of road and had "police" lights suddenly appear behind them to keep driving until they got to a well lit area with people, truck stop, stop 'n rob, fast food etc before pulling over. The real cops knew about this and wouldn't hassle the driver for doing this the BG was afraid of the light. I don't remember if the perp was ever caught, but the assaults ended.

Regular Subway customer who rode his bike to the Subway was killed at 9:30 pm by two teenaged armed robbers. Robbed the store clerk first then attempted to rob the customer who was eating his dinner. He resisted and they killed him. You can see his bike leaning up against the outside of the store in the photo.

Riding a bike, eating healthy, but now dead at the hands of two teenagers.

I used to be a regular at Subway for many years. I found however their discounts always involved their more fattening sandwiches and/or buying a larger sandwich which encouraged you to eat too much or not healthy. I didn't loose any weight, so I stopped going. Their 6" tuna sandwich with cheese has more fat than about 4 Big Macs.

There are no guarantees that just because you are armed, and know what you are doing, that everything will be hunky-dory and you are protected against all evil.

yep, a reference to the two rookies that went to the wrong address and killed the homeowner because of "...poor light conditions."

Typically they're actively pursuing someone in your neighborhood and you're the dummie that left the garage door open. I know I've been that dummie.
Walking in armed to that situation is not good.
Expecting the police to announce that they are there isn't going to happen either.

I feed the dog so he can handle situations like this.. :-)

Two suspects have been identified by the Subway employees as the murderers. One just turned 17 the day of the crime.

When I was 17 I sacked groceries to make extra money for dates and to save for college. Before that I mowed lawns.
