I had originally given up on carrying while running... but a recent incident with a big dog (well over 100 lbs) has me very anxious to readdress carrying while running. at one point I had thought of a vest but assumed they would be way too hot. I looked at the site you referenced and am curious which model you use. Any chance you'd be willing to snap a quick pic before your next run?

Sure thing. I am not very good with the cellphone camera, but here goes. I would say the pockets are moisture resistant. The material is nylon type and there is some mesh behind the pockets. I have been in a couple of downpours and the pockets did get some moisture inside, but I just wiped down the gun. I have never had a sweat through problem. The vest is a little pricy at around $60 dollars, but I have run between 2500-3000 miles in this one and it has been washed a couple hundred times and still looks new. The reflective properties are the best I have ever seen. It does look a little dorky, but I haven't been cool since the 80's so it is not a big deal to me!
I have worn this in temperatures ranging from 17 to 105 and it does not retain heat or moisture. Truthfully, the biggest dangers to runners/cyclists/walkers is traffic, so to any folks who are out on the road, I would strongly recommend some sort of reflective gear even if you are not planning to carry. If you can do both, it's a big bonus!

That's great! Thanks for your trouble. I agree that $60 is a little pricey but it offers 2 things I need- reflectivity and a way to carry on the road. (probably a bargain for the 2 combined)

This product looks great. I was looking for something like this for my S&W Airweight snub (j-frame) and couldn't find anything small enough so I ended up with a great little runners gel pak belt made out of neoprene/mesh when fits snug around my middle section and it has worked great....no printing, if the belt was even seen (not at all likely) it certainly doesn't look gun related......it had a top zipper but I just installed a bit of Velcro on the opening for quick access and it has just worked out great. It is VERY similar to the pistolwear holster but smaller, not as "tall".....it is very very comfortable to wear and I don't even remember that I have it on. Got it at DIck's Sporting. Still, I may look into getting one of the pistolwear PT2 models because there are times I'd like to carry something just a tab bigger than my little 360j frame airweight and the runners belt/pak I have just won't fit anything bigger. Thanks for the link.

I got a Sig P238 for my wife. Unfortunately, it's back at Sig for FTE problems. Size wise, it'd be perfect for a jogger.

Due 2 ammo shortage, 38 spl revolver is what I recommend. Dfw academys have 38 spl ammo sitting out, ya don't have 2 stand in line. All other ammo, u havd 2 stand in line at 7 am to get one box only, academy doesnt allow hoarders, u cant stand in line again either, I tried.
