I'm using a Blackhawk Riggers belt and I have no complaints. It's stiff enough to support the firearm and my extra magazines and it has enough velcro attached to the running end of the belt to cinch it down real tight. It has a reinforced section towards the buckle that works out really well for appendix carry. I paid $30 for it and I'll no doubt have it for years to come.

bullhide is very stiff and the measurement is straightforward. Just add 4 inches to your current waist size.
They have a clearance sale right now that is very reasonable. Their belts are usually in stock and there is no wait time other than shipping. ..
I have a Bullhide belt (it's holding my pants up right now) and I'm 100% pleased with it and I didn't have to wait 4-6 weeks for it; I think I had the belt about 7-10 days after ordering :thumbs2: . Their measurement rule-of-thumb of adding 4" to your waist size was spot-on and the standard seven holes is just right for me.

What size is your belt? If I remember correctly when reading their website they recommended reinforcing for the larger belts?

I got a size 42. That said, I usually only carry my Beretta Nano IWB, so I'm not putting too much weight on it. If you were going to carry a full size or some extra mags, you might consider the reinforcement.

There are many quality belts out there that will work great for under 50 bucks and will last years. I personally only buy belts that can work with my work and non work clothes. At work I must wear slacks;dress shirt and on occasion a tie. Therefore I need something that is a REAL belt but looks professional more then rugged . Galco all the way!

Also like karder mentioned. "Don't go to wide". I like 1 1/2 belts the best. They can hold a 50 ounce handgun with no problem if need be in a quality brand and can work with all my holsters and pants but 1 1/4 is to thin just in look for me and yes the 1/4 inch will eventually make a difference if the belt has a heavy firearm. 1 3/4 will not fit through most of my pants and none of my dress slacks and honestly unless your a bigger guy or work outdoors the 1 3/4 just looks off in any type of slacks for a guy my size.

The Wilderness Instructor Belt is available in multiple options. :thumbs2: Also, they have the "Frequent Flyers" belt. I have three of the instructor belts and two frequent flyer there is a good range of adjustment the least stiff belt, the three stitch, is very sturdy. I would recommend the five stitch or the reinforced belt. Wilderness will make you a new belt at a discount if you gain or loose so much weight you can no longer use the belt. You return the belt I believe and the reuse the buckle.

My buddy the lawyer, got tired of having to take his belt off to get through courthouse security. He bought a black Frequent Flyer belt that he wears with everything. Problem solved. :tiphat:
