It is not unusual to see 100 year-old S&W revolvers, WWI era 1911's, 19th century Colt SAA, or other similar collectible handguns that are still fully functional.

Somehow, I doubt our descendents will be collecting and shooting 100 year-old Taurus revolvers with see-through plastic.

The above is a review of The View.

Verdict: 5 rounds of .38 in a super small package. The pix show it's actually quite a bit smaller than an M85.
Painful to shoot since it has little weight. This isn't a gun that you want to put 100 or 200 rounds through in a session.

That is one ugly snubbie. Pretty sure I would not want to shoot it. The extension that is commonly referred to as a grip appears to just barely qualify as one.

I can't read the article here at work, but this gimmick seems distracting to me. I really dont see the point in this.

I've seen these online, but I'm sure they're just as silly in person. I don't get the purpose of having a window. However, the size concerns me, and this comes from someone who routinely carries an LCR and currently has a Bodyguard 380 in his pocket. Guns can successfully be small, but the physical configuration is the key to fit & feel.

I think it is kinda cool. That size gun might be better with a .32 caliber round though.
The window "feature" might get incorporated into larger guns in the future. The internals of a revolver are interesting to look at.

Probably exactly what they are going for - something that makes the weapon interesting and non-threatening. I just disagree with the whole painting pink, see-through, coffee maker attachment, concept. It is a defensive weapon (of course, there are offensive weapons also) and they are to be respected - not to be made or appear like they are toys!!! JMH(humble)O...

People have been adding things to make guns unique in appearance for ages. Engraving, gold leaf/plating, refinishing, etc. This is just one more thing.

Bump....

The stubby ejector rod might be an issue. If they made it a true 9mm size gun (shorter frame and cylinder with moon clips) they could really make it small. Sure would have to be non +P though.

Ruger just came out with an LCR (Lightweight Compact Revolver) in 9MM.

I'm not a fan of fooling with semi-auto rounds in a wheelgun. YMMV.

I know, and they kept it in the same size (while weighing 0.10oz more than the 357mag version).

With a much shorter OAL, a 9mm revolver can be smaller. It would require a different frame, and then different holsters (which holster makers would not want to build because they would not want to risk tooling up).

I guy can dream though

I wonder if the same will apply to ANY or ALL plastic guns?
