I found it on my amazon prime movies. They want 2.99 for rental. It's not a prime freebie. Is it worth three bucks? Robert Duvall is usually pretty good in movies.

Back when, I probably paid about $3 to see it in the theater. Of course, $3 then is like $15 now.03Lightningrocks wrote:I found it on my amazon prime movies. They want 2.99 for rental. It's not a prime freebie. Is it worth three bucks? Robert Duvall is usually pretty good in movies.
There are a number of clips on YouTube that give you the highlights of the movie. The few I watched left me feeling someone needed to break the guys knee caps.Jumping Frog wrote:Back when, I probably paid about $3 to see it in the theater. Back in the day jumping Frog, I remember my wife and I spending a whole dollar fifty to enter the drive in. It was always on Monday nights and we could fill the car with as many people as we could fit. Lol...I think your right. Three dollars in 1979 was at least an hours pay.
Hmmm?"...we could fill the car with as many people as we could fit..."
OK... I am bored. I have no life. It is Saturday night and I am about to rent a 1979 Robert Duvall movie. It better be good oldgringo or I will be asking you where to send the bill for the three dollars.Oldgringo wrote:03Lightningrocks wrote:Yeah... I watched the trailer for free. It's worth $3.00. You may seen people you know in this depiction. We just finished watching "Taxi Driver" with a teen age Robert DeNiro circa 1976. Nobody in it I knew.03Lightningrocks wrote:OK... Bobby DeNiro was 30 years old. Didn't you recognize Jodie Foster? She was 13.Oldgringo wrote:We just finished watching "Taxi Driver" with a teen age Robert DeNiro circa 1976. Nobody in it I knew.
Was deniro really 30 in that?? Wow!! He has aged very well. I was 15 in 1976 and I look older than deniro now.WildBill wrote:Bobby DeNiro was 30 years old. Didn't you recognize Jodie Foster? Yep, I also recognized Sybil Sheppard. She made her debut along about that time in, "THE LAST PICTUE SHOW". Incidentally, that series of books by Larry McMurtry are among my favorites. In fact, I think I've read just about every thing he's written except maybe a couple.WildBill wrote:Bobby DeNiro was 30 years old. Didn't you recognize Jodie Foster?
