Haven't seen this mentioned by others. I usually take my iPad mini with a kindle and a spreadsheet app. Kindle for those times I have to wait, spreadsheet to track performance. As well as, rags, ear plugs and muffs, small cleaning kit, ammo for the 2 guns I bring.

Electronic muffs, custom molded plugs, clear eye pro( I usually shoot with sunglasses), extra cheapo ear plugs, Leatherman MUT, cleaning/squib rod, small bottle of oil, blowout kit, small first aid kit with bandaids and medical tape, sunblock, data book if I'm shooting my precision rifles, rear bag, baby wipes, water bottle, windex if I'm shooting corrosive ammo, staples and staple gun, pasters, targets, shot timer, small snack, NFA paperwork copies(also keep with gun/host). I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff, but that's probably most of it.

I carry extra eye protection and foam ear plugs, for those people that come with me.
Also, I keep a heavy ziploc bag for brass retrieval

In addition to the stuff I already mentioned when we go out and shoot in the National Forest we bring some drinks and get a dozen donuts. Nothing like setting up targets and getting gear organized while taking a break to sit on the tailgate and eat a donut.
