Perhaps being shot will serve as a wake-up call. Perhaps not.

Some folks are infirm with a variety of problems.

For me, my shoulders are a ruin and both need surgical repair.

That said, if I took it upon myself to intervene helping someone being violently wronged without using a gun, I'd be of little use.

You don't remain young and nimble - if lucky you get old, but if you get old, you won't get out of being arthritic...well maybe, if you've always been a couch potato, but I wouldn't know about that having always been athletic and couldn't stop being on the move from long distance this and that to tree root removal (and being a soldier)...now, my body is something of a worn out old jalopy, but I keep put putting along...barely.

I know. I can still eat as much as I want and still gain weight...
