I'm literally in the same boat as you! Actually a day ahead; background check under review since 11/21/16. I called and got the same "high volume" message, but i kept calling back. Eventually after 35 min on hold, a rep answered and said they were still working on my app and could not give me anymore info. Of course i was of the "Thanks for nothing" mindset at that point. I don't know which is worse, the wait for my LTC or the wait for my NFA tax stamps.

I was in the same sitauation. After 45 days still showing fingerprints and background check in process. I called and submitted online status requests and wa told it was processing. After 70 days I called until I talked to someone again and finally found that 2 of my 10 fingerprints were not good enough to submit to FBI. The staff thought they were so they kept trying to make them work. After my call at day 70 they rejected my prints so I could get them redone for free. 72 hours after redoing my fingerprints, my background check and finger prints were complete and now license print is pending.

Both of you above may be in same boat. Call and ask if there is a possible issue with fingerprint quality and get them redone. Just use lotion night before on fingers so they aren't dry and print well. I hope to have license within a week now. I only wish I had called earlier and don't want others with a perfect record but dry fingers to have to wait as long as I have.

All docs submitted on 1.5.14. This morning it says the only thing left is the printing.

DPS site shows no change in status but they just got everything so hopefully that will change today. Will update when something changes.

I don't know what's worse, seeing these 30 day permits or checking my status every 3 hours. I refuse to call anymore.

I still have no status, I tried contacting them when calling it phone system says the are busy and hung up, I tried send email and got a generic email back.

I am at a lost at what I should do.

Yeah, something is up with yours. I submitted all my documents on 11/23 and I received plastic on 12/17.
