Pre trial diversion and dismissed will not prevent you from getting your license as others have said.

Sorry for your agony, but the cost of class and license application would probably be cheaper than asking your attorney (if he charges you).
Don't forget about your medical history pertaining to therapy and prescribed meds, that may or may not be required to be reported. (depending on how and where)

Just wanted to provide an update on this. I ultimately was able to procure my LTC despite this situation. Ultimately the issue of the pretrial diversion and whether it could be considered similar to a deferred adjudication was moot (although I do think I could have prevailed on that front as well). The DPS did see the indictment, which I also indicated on my application.

Although the government's motion to dismiss my case mentioned the pretrial diversion agreement that I had satisfactorily completed - which could have raised the PTD = DA issue I was concerned with - the final order form the judge who ruled on my case simply granted the government's motion without referencing the PTD agreement. Therefore the DPS had no reason to inquire about it and issued my LTC once I provided the requisite documentation.
