We went to the range today and she tried a couple guns. After 10 shots with the HK USP 9mm V1 she was sold.

Nearly had to drag her off the range when we ran out of ammo to keep her from buying that high priced range stuff

Here's a pic of the guns including her new purchase... From lower left, clockwise: XD-9 Service, XD-45 Compact, HK USP 9MM V1, Bersa Thunder .380.

Mine are the XDs. The others are hers.

Hi guys!

I'm Sangiovese's wife. I wanted to thank you all for your suggestions. After just a few rounds with the HK USP 9mm, I couldn't resist it!

Once we got it home, Sangio noticed the night sights on it! I hope he doesn't end up trying to snatch it from me, much like I almost did with his XD9!

Thanks again everyone!

______

I told ya! ;-)

Outstanding choice, you two! I just love to see good folks and awesome weapons united in harmony.

Now Blueskies, you have to promise Sangiovese that he'll be authorized to buy his own H&K before too much longer, OK?!! ;-) Trust me, once you've owned/shot an H&K, you will end up buying another!

Now hurry up, and get that lifetime warranty activated before you forget!

*By the way, I nearly forgot to mention that the USP offers yet another benefit to 1911 aficionados...the frame-mounted control lever allows you to safely carry the USP in condition-1 (i.e., "cocked and locked"), thus you can completely bypass the heavier double-action trigger pull and deploy the weapon as if it was single-action only.
