Thanks, Folks, for all the replies.

I ordered two Looper Leather Kydex belts yesterday.

Saw good words about them in various postings so decided to give them a try. Had a bit of a problem getting in touch with them, since they do not offer ordering on their website, but finally reached a nice lady who took my order. Seems the main contact, Suzanne is on vacation this week.

$30 each, plus shipping. They are two layers of leather with a layer of kydex sewn between, with replaceable buckles. Delivery promised in 2 to 3 weeks.

If you have a leather shop nearby, contact them. I am using belts made by a leather shop out of heavy saddle skirt leather that is 25 years old and is as good as it was when new. Just a suggestion. They were, at the time, less than the dedicated belts holster companies were offwering and stronger.

The Bad: The belt, with the insert, is THICK, particularly between 1-3:00, where you wrap the velcro back. I have a pretty Desantis that I'd have to carve up just to get on the belt. (I have a belt without the insert that isn't as thick, so I wear that when I go OWB.)

Wear the belt "upside down" and the velcro will be on the left side and you can wear IWB between 1-3 o'clock.

http://looperlawenforcement.com/ The reinforced holster belt is on sale for $29.95!!!!!
If you go to http://www.looperleather.com and look at the "KYDEX BELT" you will see they give a lifetime replacement warranty on this belt.
I will admit I don't own one, but I have read good commenmts about them on other forums.
I personally have two Don Hume B109L belts I bought from Red Diamond, http://www.reddiamondonline.com/SearchR ... L&All=True These belts are on sale for $34.99. Note! I waited several months for delivery. I think Red Diamond doesn't stock the belts but has them drop shipped from Don Hume and it is slow!!
They are fine belts.
A good gunbelt makes all the difference in carrying!
Regards, OE
Tried ordering a Don Hume belt today from Red Diamond and got an email saying that it would be 4-5 weeks. I canceled my order and then ordered a Looper belt shipped for $35. It has already shipped and is supposed to be here Monday.

My two Looper belts arrived and I've been wearing one for the past three weeks or so. Delivery was a bit slower than promised, but I'm very happy with them. Perhaps not the highest quality leather I've seen, but for the price, they are a real good deal.

I have a Tucker custom. I have been using it for 5 years and it still looks new. They are a little pricy but considering how long they last and how well they wear the cost doesn't seem like much.

+3 It's a great belt. I have had mine for a few months now and wear it most every day.

P.S. - With casual wear I like my Wilderness Instructor's Belts also.

In my opinion, Galco makes the best leather products available outside of Custom Makers (and they are just as good as some Customs as well). You can usually order what you want from them directly and get it right away or from any of their authorized Dealers.

I have had a Galco belt - it was pretty good. But I think my new 5.11 leather belt is of equal quality leather but it is better reinforced and does a better job of holding a load. And it was less expensive.
