As long as it doesn't devolve into cat photos.......
Agreed haha no room for cats on this forum!
Hey, I’ve got 3 dogs, 7 cats and 3 horses and they all get along great. One of my best “ alert” animals was my guard cat.
I had a Manx that was a great guard cat. He had this low, guttural growl that would raise the hairs on your neck if something wasn't right in the yard. He even wake me up and then growl to tell me something was wrong. great cat.

All my cats have arrived as foundlings. I think there is a kitty underground that passes the word that my wife and I are soft touches for cats.

I manage a self-storage facility. On the day of the eclipse last year, 21 Aug 17 (hotter than blazes then) IIRC I was stepping out the front door of the office when I saw something dart under the bushes. Turned out to be a 4 week-old kitten:

She was bony and scared and had a damaged nose, and her lower lip was torn away from her chin a bit. Vet said that was common injury for kittens the fall or are thrown (grrr!) from cars - they land on their faces on the pavement.

In the picture Rowdy, now 11 months, is flagrantly violating the rules about cats on tables, which is par for the course for a cat. She's waiting to see if I am going to bounce her off on the floor.

When I first found her she was so scared she growled and struck out at everybody. Took her about two days to figure out that when she went home with me she had hit a homerun, became sweet as pie. Ever since she has stuck to me like glue, I can hardly walk through the house because she's wrapped around my ankle.

Dunno how to rotate the pix yet, will work on that.

To me, this is a much more enjoyable thread than looking at Texas Farm to Market road signs which never seem to end!! :biggrinjester: I just recently lost my 13 year old Cocker Spaniel. He was a character and quite protective if he didn't know you. I will locate a good picture and post it. BTW, I don't mind cats. I just like to see what people have for pets!!

At first, you will find them sweet, a moment later they are about to kill each other. Should I start setting-up wood pet gates so that they will both have their personal space? Every day is a war for both Copper and Pumpkin.
