New York, where home invaders are "wonderful people" and home owners are not entitled to protect themselves in their own homes.
And they actually wonder why we don't have any respect for them?

Woman who drove the dead pair to the house has been cooperating with police has not been arrested. Really?
DA describes the man as a hoarder, apparently he was asking to be robbed.
Normally this is charged as a misdemeanor. The gun was legally purchased by his firefighter father.
The government has seized his home.

DA and Judge feeling the heat, released on his own recognizance, rather than holding him in jail on the original $10,000 which he could not pay. Or they decided they didn’t want to continue to pay his medical bills from the treatment he is receiving there. He wanted to stay in jail until he treatments were finished. They have seized his house so he has no where to go.

If he killed the thieves breaking into his house, imagine what he might do to the thieves stealing his whole house.
