I havent seen anything wrong with it .. there are some good reviews reporting over 10,000 rounds fired without a issue. Some reviews on the older ones made show reliability issues. they are finicky with ammo. I havent had any issues with the federal value packs i buy at wal-mart. I have the 3.4 inch model and the accuracy is not the best, But i bought it to teach my finance how to shoot among other people. It also has proved to be a fun plinker for me. But for the money (about 250) I dont think i would have bought anything else. Buy i dont like the ruger Mark II/III pistols due to only putting 100 rounds and my thumb being sore from holding the mag down.
The aftermarket support for the p22 is great .. plenty of add-ons to keep you tacti-cool guys happy as well as you guys that can shoot on your land and want a suppressor.
All in all the Walther is not a bad pistol, but only if you buy a newer one, the older ones were more prone to finicky ammo and jams. I personally have shot 700 rounds in one sitting without cleaning and only experienced 5-6 failures. every failure i had was with Remington "gold bullet" ammo.
if you can get a Walther P22 for around $250 I would buy it

I like my Walther. It is a lot of fun to shoot. However, my money gun is my Buckmark. The gun paid for itself by winning Turkey Shoots!

I got my Browning Buckmark Camper at Academy for $219, and I really enjoy it. It feeds the cheap ammo I give it well, and is more accurate than I am. It has been a great investment.
