But the wait for the Supertuck is just like the wait for your CHL, it takes a while but it sure is worth it!

Status changed to mailed this morning!

Time to stalk the mailman.

Man, I mailed mine in at the beginning of June, and it's been sitting on pending background check for a couple of weeks now. This is what I get for moving around while I was in the military.

I believe what helped is a) I have lived in worked in the same county for ever and b) the one run in I have had with the law, I went down to the courthouse and got a certified copy of the disposition and sent it in with my application.

I finally have status! It looks like the guys that said it usually takes about 3 weeks after you send the packet in if you didn't file it online were spot on. I have lived in another state the last 5 years so I'm sure the background check will take a while.

Wife's status has been like this for a while:

Mailed 6/8/10 certified says it was delivered 6/9/10; finally got a status 6/23/10!

Citizenship : No documentation required (green)
Passport photo holder : Received (green)
Photo : Received (green)
Proof of Classroom training : Received (green)

Background Check : Under review (yellow)
Concealed Handgun License : Print pending completion of application review (yellow)"

she has a clean background but was adopted after her parents died when she was 8. Any ideas why. She only moved 3 times in her life! My background check took only 3 days in the first part of June.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Not quite sure why the Application say "received" but is still yellow. But I can say that everything else on mine has cleared except the Background Check, which has been listed as "Under Review" for more than a week. So I'd say that part is about on par. As for me, I can agree it's pretty frustrating but I don't think I'm going to be too worried about it unless it stays like that for several more days. We'll see....

It just depends on the luck of the draw on the background check. I've been waiting on BGC for about 3 weeks now. It was 3 weeks before that before my status showed up, finger prints were complete at that time.

We're in the same boat with the same person who is obviously the slowest person in the office. I getting bored of seeing "BGC under review."
