Final stages of completion. It is now in Manufacturing. Should be in the mailed stack now. Maybe monday it will be in hand.

Today is 10 weeks (70 days) since DPS has had everything. Been in BG check for 8 days now, hope its not much longer.

Registered on line on March 14
Class completed on March 22
Sent application on March 26
Application status update May 8:

Almost on the same exact timeline as me..

3/26/13 - DPS Received packet
5/7/13 - Background under review

Lets see who gets it first

For those on a similar timeline I have an update the my previous post:

2/10 - Application Completed
2/21 - Fingerprinting Completed
3/2 - CHL Course Completed
3/4 - Packet Mailed
4/13 - Application accepted
5/9 - Background Check Complete
5/9 - Manufacturing Pending

66 days from mailing (I live in Austin) to Background Check complete and manufacture pending.

Now I transition from checking this site multiple times a day to wearing a path out to my mailbox.

P.S. my wife has the same timeline and her status changed today too.

Application, prints, photos class all done by Mar 15,

FINALLY updated May 6th

Just waiting on Print review/BG Check. I hope that it goes as quick as it did for some of ya'll.

Spoke with Customer Service today, they told me that all paperwork submitted electronically is put in the same folder as the ones received via snail mail (but on the date that they printed them) All my paperwork has been accepted, told me to sit tight and just hold on they are SWAMPED, and that they are trying to get as many done as possible (then I was told typical 60 days + or -

5/10 - Updated to Mailed after 1 day!!!

Hopefully it arrives by next weekend. Looks like by previous postings that the postmark of when it actually mailes out is a few days after the website shows it mailed. I will update once it actually arrives with a total # of days mailbox to mailbox.

The suckie thing about it is they used my DL photo instead of the really cute passport photo I sent in. Who likes their DL photo.......not me

I did the online App. and mailed in the requested items.

03/28/13-----Complete Packet Sent Into DPS
03/30/13-----Complete Packet Arrived at DPS
05/08/13-----First Update On DPS website (Background Check Under-review)

Hopefully the B.G. goes quickly

03/11/2013 Fingerprinting & mailed packet to DPS
03/13/2013 Certified mail signed for by DPS
04/26/2013 BG underway finally I guess (San Antonio Texas agency's are behind) I been told depends what County you live in, so if you live a smaller county it comes back faster. Bexar is a large county so I don't expect to see any status update for a while.
