Hey there, I'm Red2000Vette. I was a CHL holder in PA for 20 years. I've been in Texas for 20 years and just applied for my TX CHL. Don't know why I waited so long - perhaps due to the number of home invasions in my neighborhood lately. Generally, I don't feel safe anymore.
Me: Former employee of the US Postal Inspection Service
Baby Boomer
Now a full-time security consultant - specialty is school security
Married - no kids
My "pistoles": CZ 75b stainless 9mm; H&K p2000sk .40 cal; Kimber Aegis II 9mm; Sig Sauer P232; Beretta CX 4 Storm .40 caliber; Mossberg 500 w/Cop Stock
The CZ is my winter carry weapon and it is my absolute favorite; the Sig is my tuxedo gun; the H&K is my home defender. The Kimber is my daily carry weapon.

Hi. I'm Greg from Odessa. Just got on this site....ok...see if I remember all this!
Pharmacist
DS Vet (took 10 years off of pharmacy to play with the Army Infantry! HOO AHH)
Married
CHL for 3 years.
51yo
Hmmm....several pistols....depends on what I'm doing. I like my Springfield XD .45 and my 1911 for general protection, my main carry piece is a Firestorm Mini-40. But I will admit....more times than not the .40 is under the seat and the KelTek .32 is in my pocket! :-). Yea, yea....I know....but like I tell my son.....my little "pea shooter" in my pocket still has more knockdown with a well placed shot than the .40 that is left under the seat! LOL. I'm actually a fan of .32's. Think they are underrated in the US! Anyone messed with the new .327 Federal yet?
Anyway, looks like a neat site with a lot of good info for us CHL and gun enthusiasts. Can't believe I had not found it before now. Thx and ttyl.
Greg

Howdy y'all. I'm a 53 y.o. native Houstonian, married 27 years to a woman I've known since kindergarden. I'm sales manager for a software startup. (Entrepreneur is a French word, it means unemployed.)
Been shooting since I was 7 years old, got my CHL the second year they were available here. (How long ago was that?)
Three kids, two of whom shoot. My 17 y.o. daughter competes in High Power Rifle (AR15) and has been to a couple of state championships and even to Camp Perry, she wants to go shoot there again this year. I recently had to get back into reloading to support her ammo habit. The people we've met in High Power have been wonderful and very supportive of the junior coming into the sport.
My carry piece is generally a Sig P239 in 9mm, my P7 spends more time in the safe these days.
Hope I can contribute some meaningful posts around here.

Introduce myself? Okay, here goes.
Hi, my name's Wayne and I have a gun addiction.
Seriously... okay.
Born in Chicago (yeah, I know, a damn yankee).
Lived in DFW for going on 10 years.
Electrician by trade. Passed the Master's test in 03. I also teach electrical apprenticeship courses at CEF.
Former Jarhead for 8 years.
Still waiting impatiently for my CHL to get here.
Carry gear? Haven't really thought about it. I do have a Para-Ordnance P12.45 that I will probably use.
