She can, maybe if it's what they keep brining up she will.

Even with the Dutton amendment removed LEO encounters are fundamentally no different than what you see with groups like OCT are doing now. Police are still required to have probable cause a crime is being committed. Even a huffington post legal blogger got this right:

The comparison with auto driving doesn't really work because having a driver's license isn't a right. The constitution doesn't give you a right to a drive a car. So when you sign up for a driver's licenses you contract with the state so that an officer can demand to see you driver's license. If you're stopped on the street OCing you can still refuse to give your ID. If you are searched by the officer simply because you are carrying then it's an illegal search. If he takes your gun and says you can pick it up at the police station it's an illegal seizure. You can file charges on the LEO

More Waco references. Has nothing to do with this bill.

Choose love laptop brought up the Waco shooting. I think we're up to about 10 references to that.

I'm thrilled to see the "MOMs" showing their true nature. They are mindless robots of a fabulously wealthy control freak from New York who wants to control every aspect of every American's life. They are incapable of independent thought, as clearly evidenced by being able to testify only by reading the Bloomberg script.

Oh yes, the "police won't know the good guys from the bad guys" argument.
I have a simple way:
Is the person shooting at you? That's a bad guy.
The guy not shooting at you? Yup. Good guy.
Open carry doesn't change this.

They deliberately ignore the fact that the legislation only applies to CHL holders, who have detailed statistics with regard to crimes committed by license holders. Their only argument is that it will increase crime. A CHL holder does not suddenly become more violent based on whether their gun is hidden or displayed.

I can't listen anymore. I know the testimony against OC is garbage (or any anti 2A infringement argument for that matter) and is painful to listen to because it is purely emotional and not based on any rationale coherent thought that makes any sense.
But yet I can't turn it off. Let's just vote already I have work to do.

I'm getting the feeling that this committee has treated the members of Mom's Demand with nothing but respect.
