I have been in Background check for 46 days now!!!!!!!
Maybe the NSA didn't like what you were looking at on the web? Seriously though some get hung up for no reason at all no matter what your background is. It's a government organization after all.

Status changed to mail yesterday. Is that status reliable in it actually being mailed or just an update. I was also curious how many days will it be before its in my mail box.

I think that time has slow down even more now that the status is available online. Two of my wife's employees have recently received their CHL and it was right around 60 days for both. That puts me and the wife right around July 30th. I can't help but hope that when I get to work someday soon and pull up the status it will be on the way.

I initially had a problem with my DD Form 214 because I accidentally mailed the Member-1 copy but after a quick phone call and an e-mail I was able to submit it and 2 days later my statues was updated. :woohoo

Now it's back to the waiting game :grumble

I sent my stuff on 5/23 and they verified receipt on 5/28. Two others sent in way after 6/28 and they have received their CHL. So I called and I was tx that "some people's background takes longer than others." Does this mean your a female and therefore takes longer than the two males who just got theirs? I am so disgusted. I can hold people's lives in my hands and work for the federal government, served out country and yet can't seem to get my CHL timely to protect myself and family while out and if needed.

My CHL package was rcvd 4/27/13. Still in background check status. Curious if there's a common issue that causes some reviews to take longer than others.
