There were maybe a dozen boxes of Winchester .380 at Wal-Mart in Bedford (on 121) yesterday afternoon. Just over $31 a box of 100. I don't use the stuff, but I know many of you are looking for it.

The WWB 9 mm at my WW in New Braunfels has come down from $23.99 a box of 100 to $19.99 per 100. Not down to what it was at $14.99 per 100 but it’s a price drop, its not on sale.

Not sure if it's cleaner than Monarch. I haven't noticed a difference but the Federal is weaker. It's 50-85 ft/sec slower than the Monarch.
When Academy has Monarch brass for $9.99/50 rounds I buy in bulk.

When Academy has Monarch brass for $9.99/50 rounds I buy in bulk.

I don't have a meter to check it, but based on recoil, I suspected the same thing. Maybe they figured out a way to increase FPC with reduced pressures...LOL... but I think it is slower also. BTW.... nice avatar.

at one Walmart in Mckinney TX, price of WWB 9mm is still $23.99/100rds.

Wal-Mart on Beach up toward Keller has 6-8 boxes of the 100ct. winchester white box .380 for $30.+ ea.

We chrono'd it and found those results.
Essentially it's the difference between shooting a G19 and a G26.

you cannot notice 50-85fps in a bullet ever, even with a chrno which I have an use you Std DIV can be greater then 100fps..Alos Monarch (russin) is steal case..How did you come up with the 50-85fts slower then monarch, it should be published somewere.


PS if you chron it again 50-85 fts slower is nothing.. a differnt gun will make that up or change that... not trying to argue,, its just seems like nothing to make me buy one brand over another.. Monarch 223 at 3.99 per 20.. ya Ill buy that all day long.

For the range and competition (IDPA/IPSC) buy cheapest rounds. Last time, I ever tried the Russian TULA 9mm with steel cases. They shot very well and my Pistol did not have a single hickup.

Just reload... :) how much of the TULA have you shot out of the same gun... some of us are in disagreement about steal case ammo in none surplus riles... And the damage that it can/will do...

My buddy's Chrono was $$$$$ and measures very well. Not sure what the SD was in ft/sec but it was way less than 100.

Also, Monarch makes brass ammo also. The steel is Russian. The Brass is Serbian made by Prvi. It's good quality stuff.
And as I said in previous post it's about the difference between a G19 and G26.
