Long time creeper, first time poster. I've been stalking you folks for like a month now, but I decided i should go ahead and post and invite fellow stalkers to post if they submitted around my time. I turned 21 on October 20 already have had completed the CHL class.

All docs Received by Austin in mail: October 28th

Day 37? and still no update. By the looks of it I wont be receiving an update for potentially another 20 days or so.

Special thanks to the guys who have called in to Austin and have given everyone here (including the secret creepers) updates on how it is all running in Austin! Anyone else in the October 28th club?

Bozz48, Check the spam folder of your email if you haven't already. Look for "DONOTREPLY_RSD" as the sender. I had a very important email from them go to my spam box for some reason.

Took class on December 3rd, fingerprinted and submitted electronically to RSD on 5th December.

Let the wait begin!

I was absolutely certain I would have mine by Thanksgiving. Now, I'm hoping to have it by Christmas. Already been through 3 Federal holidays since I submitted my documentation. Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, and Thanksgiving Day. Less than 3 weeks until Christmas now.

Thanks Cen Tx. I check spam daily. The one automated response went to my regular mail folder, but there has been nothing in the spam folder from RSD.

The wait begins.

Just hang in there folks. Sent mine in Sept. 14th. After almost 3 months I checked today and it says mailed on the plus side I will never forget my DL#.

Congratulations Txn1911. 3 months! Wow! Guess I have another month to go then.

Nope. I don't have another month to wait. Just got my first update since mailing the documentation.

First update today:

Fingerprints : Complete
Affidavits : Received
DL or ID : Valid
Citizenship : No documentation required
Passport photo holder : Received
Photo : Received
Proof of Classroom training : Received
Proof of Proficiency training : Received
Proof of Special Condition : Received
Fee : Received
Background Check : Under review
Concealed Handgun License : Print pending completion of application review

Received CHL in the mail on the 17th of October.

So I do believe I hit a unique set of circumstances.

Packet mail 10/10/13 (Online application, class, and fingerprints done the week before)
Nothing 10/11/13 - 12/17/13 (no status change)
Shows mailed 12/18/13
But wait!!!... there's more!

I moved back to Oklahoma City a month ago due to unforeseen circumstances!!
Attempted multiple times to contact DPS to no avail.

12/18/13 Changed address to Oklahoma City and paid fees... we'll see what the wait game has in store for me this go around. Good news is they didn't require any additional documents.

I mailed in my chl100 and receipt for the fingerprints October 12th. Still no update. It seems like forever. It's selfish but I'm glad I'm not the only one waiting

Welcome to the forum. The waiting game is no fun but before you know it you'll be applying for your renewal.

I mailed mine in the 17th and i'm still in the same boat. We better get an update before the new year!!
